Make Podcast: Weekend Projects Make A Kite Aerial
Posted by Admin | Filed under How to make a kite
For this weekend project, I have a Kite Aerial Photography Rig (KAP). This was one of those projects, renewal requires several times to get it so that it would fly. I started with a VEX robotics kit and then had to make many changes to make it easier. Watch the video to learn more! For more information, refer to the teaching post. My thanks to Sparky, Jake, and innocent passers-by who helped the plant into the air Gasworks Park in Seattle. Click here to view the video (MP4) delivered automatically with iTunes. This video will play on PC / Mac / Linux / PSP and iPod video devices. Also for your viewing pleasure - HD, 3gp and Blip. Update: Sparky put up a photo set here. More action: I sent them up again, read in the photo collection of Cal Anderson Park!

July 31st, 2010 at 11:52 amYou can see it at 5:24... it's just way up in the sky. The actual kite isn't as important as the rig; you just need a stable kite that can generate plenty of lift to haul your rig.
